Temps in 70's before rain, big chill hits Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - Change is the operative word for Milwaukee's weather on Thursday, according to Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.
Scott's 4Cast calls for a high temperature 37 degrees higher than what Thursday's night's low is set to be in our area.
"Thursday will begin much like Wednesday finished. As we remain in a warm sector, temperatures will reach the low 70s for highs," said Scott.
"The warm readings will be driven by strong southerly winds which could gust to 30 miles per hour."
Then comes the rain, followed by the big chill.
"It won't be long before a powerful cold front comes slamming into Southeast Wisconsin. That front will kick off showers and thunderstorms from the west to the east as we go through the day," said Scott.
"Behind the boundary temperatures will nosedive, plummeting into the 30s tonight and barely recovering to 50 degrees fof Friday even with more sunshine."
