FOND DU LAC - Sheriff's deputies have arrested a recalled state senator for allegedly committing domestic abuse and cited for drunk driving.

Authorities released Randy Hopper, 46, after he posted $500 cash bond.

Voters recalled Hopper after he supported Gov. Scott Walker's collective bargaining law.  Hopper previously avoided conviction on a drunk driving charge.

According to the department, deputies responded to a domestic abuse situation on Rienzi Road at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday night.

They then arrested Hopper.

The Fond du Lac District Attorney's office was to review the incident.
