UPDATE: Mequon Police officers rescue people from burning home
MEQUON - Mequon Police say officers rescued two people from a burning home on North Granville Road late Thursday.
Police say when officers got to the scene, they heard people screaming. Officers found a woman and a teenage girl behind the home. One of those two had jumped out of a second story window. The two told the officers there were two people still in the burning home.
The officers and a friend of the homeowner ran into the home and rescued the two remaining people from the house.
Several people were taken to the hospital. Police say none of the injuries were serious.
The flames and smoke also caused visible damage to the front of the home on Granville Road just south of Highland Road.
