Glendale bank robbed, police search for suspects

GLENDALE - The Glendale Police Department is searching for two armed robbers who held up the Educators Credit Union on Port Washington Rd. just south of Good Hope Rd. Thursday afternoon.

The suspects were wearing all black when the robbed the bank, then took off.  Officers found their getaway vehicle abandoned near Mohawk Ln. and Good Hope Rd.  Glendale police say the vehicle is of interest in this investigation.

Investigators set up a perimeter around the neighborhood and went door-to-door searching for the suspects before determining that they were not in the neighborhood.

Police have left the crime scene, saying the area is now safe.

No suspects are in custody at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

Glendale police ask that anyone who observed any suspicious activity in the 7200 Block of N. Mohawk Thursday afternoon is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at (414) 228-1753.
