Packers LB D.J. Smith placed on IR

GREEN BAY- The Green Bay Packers have placed linebacker D.J. Smith on injured reserve.  The transaction was announced Wednesday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.
 
Smith sustained a knee injury at Houston on Sunday night.  He started each of the first six games this season and recorded 42 tackles (35 solo), two sacks and four passes defensed.
