MARINETTE- A former treasurer for the Wausaukee Rescue Squad has been ordered to stand trial on charges she stole money from the agency.

Forty-one-year-old Amanda Stumbris waived her right to a preliminary hearing in court Monday. Prosecutors say she embezzled more than $132,000 over three years.

According to the criminal complaint, Stumbris used a rescue squad debit card to make cash withdrawals. She also allegedly purchased satellite television service and movies. Investigators say she also covered gambling expenses.

WLUK-TV reports Stumbris is due back in court to enter a plea to the felony theft charges on Dec. 14.

A call left for Stumbris' defense attorney was not immediately returned Tuesday.
