Man dead, another hospitalized following two-vehicle crash in Dodge County
LOWELL - The Dodge County sheriff says that a 65-year-old man from Reeseville is dead following a two-vehicle crash just before noon on Tuesday.
State troopers believe a man driving an SUV crossed the center line at State Highway 16/60 near County Highway K around 11 a.m. Tuesday and smashed into a delivery truck.
The driver of the SUV died instantly. Flight for Life took the 62-year-old delivery truck driver to a local hospital. His current status isn't known.
Crews had to shut down Highway 16/60 for a few hours, but it has since reopened.
State troopers won't say for sure if speed was a factor, but they do point out the SUV shouldn't have left its lane.
Authorities are working on reconstructing the accident scene Tuesday afternoon.
