Pedestrian struck, killed by SUV in Greenfield
GREENFIELD- A 54-year-old man from South Milwaukee was hit and killed while walking against traffic along Loomis Road near S. 45th Street Monday afternoon.
Greenfield police say the victim was walking along the curb -- there were no sidewalks in the area -- when a woman driving a Cadillac Escalade struck him.
She is cooperating with authorities and is currently on the scene of the crash. She says she was trying to get to a business down the road around 3:02 p.m.
Police say there is no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
