Demonstrators say Chief Flynn has got to go
MILWAUKEE - Dozens of demonstrators wearing black hoodies rallied at a Milwaukee park Saturday, callling for the termination of police chief Ed Flynn.
The rally at Gordon Park was in response to the in-custody death of Derek Williams.
Many carried signs saying things like, "Justice for Derek."
Mayor Tom Barrett is reaffirming his support for Chief Flynn.
But, the mayor also says the controversy surrounding the Milwaukee Police Department is emotional and he understands the community's concerns.
"I support the chief," Mayor Barrett says.
"We've had three high-profile events that people are upset about and I understand their frustration."
