Detectives investigate 5th patient death at Milwaukee Co. Mental Health Complex this year
Deputies responded shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday after receiving notification from staff of emergency life-saving procedures being performed on a 25-year-old male patient. He died just after 10 a.m. Wauwatosa Fire Department medical personnel also responded. Detectives with the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division are assisting with the investigation, as is standard procedure for deaths at the county complex. The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's office. No other information is available for release at this time. This is the fifth death at the County Mental Health Complex this year, and the ninth since 2010.
