Porter County couple jailed in brutal identity fraud
STEVENS POINT, Wis. - A statement from an inmate at the Portage County jail claims a couple's guilty of a brutal case of identity fraud.
The inmate accuses Delores Disher of murdering her mother Marie Jost some 30 years ago, and with the assistance of her husband Ronald, burying the body in Amherst Junction, and then continuing to cash-in her mother's social security checks.
During a Friday hearing, prosecutors claimed Ronald Disher admitted that to two inmates.
Homicide charges have not been filed.
Defense attorney Steven Sawyer says the inmates' statement is not credible.
