Milwaukee looks for a Christmas Tree
MILWAUKEE - It's not even October. But Milwaukee is already out shopping for a Christmas tree.
Each year, the city picks a tree from somewhere in the city's boundaries. It then harvests the tree and puts it up in Red Arrow Park. The tree usually comes from someone's private property.
If you have a tree that you would like to be considered, you can call the city at 414-286-CITY.
And we can't talk about the city harvesting its Christmas tree without replaying the video of the Christmas tree harvesting in 2008.
TODAY'S TMJ4 Reporter Diane Pathieu was live on the air the the top of the tree snapped off as workers were cutting it down. The city was able to fix the tree and display it.
