Single-engine plane crashes in Kenosha County
KENOSHA- A single-engine plane crashed in Kenosha County Thursday afternoon.
The pilot was the only person inside the plane when it crashed into a grassy area just several hundred feet from the Kenosha County Detention Center. The pilot wasn't hurt and the detention center wasn't impacted in any way.
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department says the plane never gained altitude, and one of the wings of the plane hit a tree which caused the plane to spin around.
Initial reports suggest the plane took off from the Kenosha Municipal Airport around 2:23 p.m Thursday.
