Stolen in Seattle
Some Packers players express disgust on Twitter over controversial final play
SEATTLE- Following the Packers 14-12 controversial loss to the Seahawks, some Packers players shared their disapproval with the replacement officials' final ruling through social media.
On the final play, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson scrambled from the pocket and threw to the corner of the end zone as the clock expired. Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate shoved Green Bay's Sam Shields out of the way, then wrestled with M.D. Jennings for possession.
Replays appeared to show Packers defensive back M.D. Jennings making a clean interception, but the play was ruled on the field as a touchdown and after a lengthy review, referee Wayne Elliott came out from under the hood and announced "the ruling on the field stands" and CenturyLink Field erupted in celebration.
According to Packers offensive guard T.J. Lang's twitter account, Lang said: "Got (f*****) by the refs.. Embarrassing. Thanks nfl." Lang didn't stop there, later tweeting: "(F***) it NFL.. Fine me and use the money to pay the regular refs."
Fellow Packers offensive lineman Josh Sitton tweeted: "That was (bull****). This is getting ridiculous! The NFL needs to get the refs back bfr we strike and they make no money!" Sitton later tweeted: "The nfl needs to come to gb and apologize to us for (f******) us! These refs r bums!"
Packers tight end Jermichael Finley tweeted: "Come on @NFL this (s***) is getting out of Control. (Cost) us a (D***) game. Horrible!
Packers defense lineman Johnny Jolly tweeted: "Who's next to get (f*****) by the foot locker refs."
Packers running back Alex Green jumped on Twitter and said: "Guess we kno the real meaning of 12th man, welp headed back to Gbay...it's still #packernation."
