Thousands turn out to fight breast cancer
MILWAUKEE - An estimated 22,000 people turned out for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in downtown Milwaukee.
It's the 14th consecutive year for the event which raises money to fight breast cancer.
"The money is still being collected. We raise funds through October," explains Nikki Paniko, the executive director of the organization in southeast Wisconsin.
"We're shooting for a million dollars."
Money goes toward research, cancer screenings and education.
