Pewaukee tree house gets the go-ahead

PEWAUKEE- A family has run into some unexpected hassles while trying to repair a tree house behind their home on Rock Point Road.
Scott and Elizabeth Idleman have come before the City of Pewaukee Plan Commission in defense of the 10x10 structure after a building inspector issued the Idlemans a cease-and-desist order.
Pewaukee Mayor Scott Klein said that the city has no rules on tree houses.
"Well, we're not trying to be restrictive as government. Let your kids have a tree house," Klein said.
A public hearing was held on the issue, and since no one said a word against the tree house, the Idlemans can keep building.
