4,500 without power due to thunderstorms
MILWAUKEE- Around 4,500 We Energies customers in southeast Wisconsin are without power Monday evening following today's storms.
"Certainly strong winds definitely played a factor in downed power lines and tree limbs," said Cathy Schulze of We Energies. "Downed wires, and a lot of tree limbs have come down and caused some problems."
We Energies officials said that most of the people affected by the storms live in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties. A majority of the outages were reported in Greenfield, Greendale and from Milwaukee's south and southwest sides.
At the peak of the storms, around 5,700 customers were without power in southeast Wisconsin.
