Presidential campaigns headed for Wisconsin
OLDSMAR, Fla. - GOP vice presidential candidate and Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan thinks the Federal Reserve is making a mistake in its effort to improve the economy.
While campaigning in Florida Saturday, Ryan discounted the Federal Reserve's plan to spend $40 billion a month to buy mortgage bonds in an effort to keep interest rates low won't work.
Ryan said the plan would help banks and Wall Street but not people.
A crowd of voters cheered when Ryan said although President Obama inherited a difficult situation, he didn't make things any better, he made things worse.
Ryan is heading to Middleton, Wisconsin, for a fundraiser late Saturday and to see his family.
There are no public appearances scheduled for his time in Middleton this weekend.
Meantime, President Obama will be campaigning in Wisconsin soon.
He'll attend a fundraiser at the Milwaukee Theatre on Saturday, September 22nd.
