Man who jumped off bridge into Milwaukee River has died, says Milwaukee police

  • According to the Milwaukee Milwaukee Police Department's twitter account: "Man who jumped from bridge into Milwaukee River died at 4:35 p.m. MPD trying to identify him; make family notifications."

  • A witness told TODAY'S TMJ4 that two people tried to jump in to save that man. That hasn't been confirmed by Milwaukee police.

  • Rescue crews were reportedly performing CPR on that man in a medical unit at N. Old World Third Street near W. McKinley Ave. and E. Knapp St.

  • The Journal Sentinel reports that Milwaukee firefighters pulled three people out of the Milwaukee River downtown Wednesday afternoon.

  • Milwaukee police said the two people who jumped in the Milwaukee River to save man are doing OK.

MILWAUKEE- TODAY'S TMJ4 is reporting that rescue crews are trying to help three people in the Milwaukee River Wednesday afternoon.

TODAY'S TMJ4 has been told that the Milwaukee Fire Department Dive Team is looking for those three at N. Old World Third Street near W. McKinley Ave. and E. Knapp St.
