BROOKFIELD- Two maintenance workers are being praised for rescuing an elderly couple from their burning home.

TODAY'S TMJ4 reports that Matt Potts and his coworker Brad Schmidt of the Mandel Group went into the home in the 1800 block of Astor Court around noon Tuesday, and saved the elderly, disabled couple.

Potts apparently found the elderly man in the upstairs bedroom of a two-level townhouse.

Neighbors told TODAY'S TMJ4 that flames spread from the garage to the home very quickly.

Potts told TODAY'S TMJ4 he wouldn't change anything he did Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
