Vigil for Sikh Temple victims at Marquette one month after shootings

MILWAUKEE - A month after the massacre at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, people were set to gather to remember victims at Marquette University.
On Sunday, Aug. 5, Wade Page opened fire at the Sikh Temple on Howell Avenue.
He shot and killed six people, was shot by police, then he took his own life.
Three other people were wounded, including Oak Creek Police Lt. Brian Murphy.
He was recovering at home.
Another man who was seriously injured is Punjab Singh. He was in a coma.
The St. Joan of Arc Chapel was to host the vigil at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night. The gathering will be held just outside the chapel.
Members of the community are welcome to join students, staff and faculty.
People are asked to bring a bandana, scarf, handkerchief or other head covering.
If it rains, the event will be moved to the Alumni Memorial Union.
