Vehicle sought following fatal hit-and-run on Milwaukee's south side
MILWAUKEE- Milwaukee police are asking for the public's help in finding a car that struck and killed a motorcyclist on the city's south side over the weekend.
Around 4:42 p.m. Saturday, Javier Ortiz was driving a motorcycle southbound on S. Pearl St. near W. Mitchell St. when he was struck by a tan 1992-1997 Cadillac Seville, four door with an unknown registration plate number.
Ortiz was ejected from his motorcycle and hit the right side of the rear bumper of that vehicle. He later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
That vehicle fled the scene, traveling southbound on S. Pearl St.
Authorities say parts of that vehicle were recovered at the scene of the accident.
