CUDAHY- A man suspected of attacking two women in separate incidents on the Oak Leaf Trail is in custody, police say.

Authorities detained the man Wednesday morning after a jogger spotted him lurking on the trail in Warnimont Park.

"We just know he followed his gut," said Cudahy police spokesperson Melissa Maker.  "He saw something suspicious, noted it, and when he saw it again, contacted law enforcement."

Police confirmed Friday the man fit descriptions of the man wanted for attacks in Cudahy on Aug. 9 and in St. Francis on Aug 24.

As of Friday evening, the suspect had not been named or charged.

St. Francis and Cudahy were asking Milwaukee County prosecutors to pursue one count each of attempted strong arm robbery.
