Packers fans predicting successful 2012 season
GREEN BAY- The practice runs are done. From now on every game counts.
And no surprise, the predictions for the regular season have already begun.
Fans at Lambeau Field told TODAY'S TMJ4's Annie Scholz they think the Packers will do big things this year.
"This is going to be an awesome season," said Chris Cichocki.
"I'm excited, this is my first Packers game ever -- so I'm stoked, this is awesome," said Dustin Nap to TODAY'S TMJ4.
Packers backers are predicting a big year, even before it's officially begun. "I think we have a definite upgrade in the defense, I think we've drafted well," believes Tracie Patrickus.
Just this week, Sports Illustrated's Peter King predicted a Packers win over the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl.
Some people say a prediction like that might be bad luck, but not to the fans at Thursday's preseason game. "There's no such thing as a good team that cannot overcome a curse," said Cichocki.
"Curses are curses, you know whatever, I don't believe in that," said Nap.
Annie Scholz reports that if anything, it's inspiration to those fans, that the green and gold will go all the way.
"13-time world champion, Green Bay Packers, we're taking it all this year," proclaimed Nap.
The Packers begin the regular season at home against San Francisco on Sept. 9.
