Milwaukee family trying to stay safe on vacation in New Orleans

MILWAUKEE- A local family planned their vacation down south for a long time -- well before Hurricane Isaac was even in the picture.
TODAY'S TMJ4's Annie Scholz talked to Isaac Campos from his New Orleans hotel Tuesday night.
"The atmosphere has been hunker down. The TV stations, even the people are like 'I have to hunker down at home,'" explained Campos.
But Campos is nowhere near his south Milwaukee home. The 17-year-old is braving Hurricane Isaac in his New Orleans hotel.
"It's very gloomy right now, you can see the very low clouds coming in, it's raining," described Campos.
Isaac and his family drove from Milwaukee to Fort Walton Beach in Florida, where the storm was supposed to hit at first. They continued their vacation to New Orleans and the storm wasn't far behind.
"All they've been saying right now is 'oh the storm's coming.' Then it turns into everybody is staying, where everybody is."
Isaac said he isn't too worried about his safety. He said New Orleans has seen worse before, and he's confident this time will turn out better.
"After (Hurricane) Katrina, after what happened, it seems like the renovations with the levees and the flood gates -- I think I'll take their word for it this time."
