Wisconsin delegate disappointed GOP postponed her speech at RNC
TAMPA, FL- A Wisconsin woman found a way to make it to the Republican National Convention, even though she's unemployed.
TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson reports that Barb Finger may have been the most disappointed delegate to learn Monday's convention speeches were postponed.
The Oconto Republican was supposed to give one.
"I had to raise all my funds to be here," explained Finger to TODAY'S TMJ4. "I didn't have any money in my bank account."
The retired Navy cook lost her fast food job in April. He son was injured in the war in Afghanistan last year. She wants a new president.
Republicans believe jobs and the the economy can be a winning issue for them; they are promoting Mitt Romney as the man for the job.
"I get the sense he comes from the idea of 'let's relax the tax regulatory climate, let's get the business going,'" said Finger.
Out of 81 Wisconsin delegates, Finger is one of 34 women -- a key voting block for any party.
Polls show President Obama has a huge lead over Mitt Romney with women; Romney has a slight edge with men.
