Packers place 6 players on IR; cut 2 players; put 2 players on PUP list

GREEN BAY- The Packers announced Monday that six players were put on injured reserve, two were placed on reserve/physically unable to perform, and two players were released.

Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson announced that RB Du'ane Bennett, LB Desmond Bishop, TE DeMarco Cosby, G Ray Dominguez, DE Johnny Jones and WR Shaky Smithson were put on injured reserve.

TE Andrew Quarless and LB Frank Zombo were placed on reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
 
The Packers released FB Jon Hoese and DE Jarius Wynn.

The Packers play their final preseason game this Thursday vs. Kansas City and has to cut their regular season roster down to 53 players by Friday night.
