Dive teams search for missing boater in Sheboygan County
TOWN OF LYNDEN - Authorities are searching Lake Ellen in southwestern Sheboygan County for a missing 28-year-old Plymouth man.
Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office says it received a 911 call just before 1 a.m. Sunday from an individual on a boat on Lake Ellen, located in the Town of Lyndon outside of Cascade in eastern Wisconsin.
The caller said the man had been on the boat but had been missing for over 10 minutes.
Deputies and the Sheboygan City/County Dive team responded to the scene, along with other first responders.
Sgt. James Gottsacker tells the Sheboygan Press that search crews worked through the night, undeterred by the early morning darkness.
Officials say the search continued Sunday afternoon, aided by the Calumet County Dive Team.
