MILWAUKEE - The latest update on the nation's drought shows improvement in Southeast Wisconsin.

According to the US Drought Monitor's latest report, only the lower two thirds of Kenosha County and the southwestern-most part of Racine County are still in an extreme drought.

The rest of us have been downgraded to severe or moderate.

The northern halves of Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties are now in moderate status, with the southern halves listed as in a severe drought.
