Cantaloupe linked to salmonella cases sold in Wisconsin
MILWAUKEE - Melons connected to a multistate outbreak of salmonella were sold in Wisconsin.
The cantaloupe is being tied to an Indiana farm, which has launched a formal recall.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says Chamberlain Farms of Owensville could be one source of the outbreak.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports the melons have been sold in 21 states, including Wisconsin.
Two people have died and 62 have been hospitalized.
As of early Thursday morning, there was no official word on whether anyone has become sick from the outbreak in Wisconsin.
