2 charged with supplying heroin in fatal overdose
MADISON- Two men face first-degree reckless homicide charges for allegedly supplying heroin to a 21-year-old Redgranite woman who died of an overdose in April.
Authorities announced the charges against 28-year-old Randy Lindgren of Wautoma and 45-year-old John Gearnhardt of Redgranite on Wednesday.
Twenty-one-year-old Amalia Henschel died in April. Her body was found under a porch.
Gearnhardt and Lindgren are both in custody in Waushara County, and cannot receive messages. It was not clear if they had defense attorneys.
WLUK-TV reports that Lindgren told investigators he got the drug from Gearnhardt. The complaint says Gearnhardt said he made multiple trips to Milwaukee each week to buy heroin.
Five other people are charged with conspiracy to deliver heroin, and a sixth is charged with delivering the drug.
