WEST ALLIS- West Allis police have confirmed to TODAY'S TMJ4 that a 32-year-old person was arrested, and no one was hurt during a standoff Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities were told the suspect was holding or carrying a rifle in a home near S. 72nd St. and W. Madison St. and was "behaving in an irrational manner."

An acquaintance feared for his safety and called for police assistance around 1:52 p.m.

Officers removed the caller safely from the area and secured the perimeter around the residence.

Tactical units were requested, including ones from Milwaukee police and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.

Around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, authorities were able to convince the man to exit the house safely and surrender.

Police have confiscated several weapons from the home.
