MUSKEGO - People who live at Tudor Oaks Retirement Community say they're in shock following the bizarre death of one of their residents.

Police say Henry A. Hintze was killed after a car ran him down. The 92-year-old was sitting at a smoking area at the Muskego retirement community when a car driven by a 63-year-old man hit him.

The car then smashed through a nearby garage, traveled another 100 feet and hit another garage.  Hintze's body was found among the rubble.

"Everybody's family so it hurts." said Chuck Lamson, the executive director of Tudor Oaks. He said nothing like this has happened at the facility in it's 35-year history.

Police say the man driving the car was a visitor at the retirement community.  He was taken to the hospital for observation with non life-threatening injuries.  The name of the driver or his condition is not being released.

The investigation into what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle is being conducted by the Muskego Police Department.
