Pain at the Pump
Gas prices dropping in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - Gas prices are dropping just in time for an end-of-summer road trip.
Prices per gallon have dropped $.06 in the last week here in metropolitan Milwaukee. We are averaging $3.88/gallon for unleaded.
Patrick DeHaan with gasbuddy.com says he thinks the numbers will continue to move down.
"The market has seen a tremendous pullback after refinery repairs and pipeline repairs. (It) has eased concerns over tightening supplies," said DeHaan.
DeHaan says prices will go down even more next month when we switch off of the summer blend of gas.
"We're expecting an even bigger break come mid-September, when we roll back to winter gasoline."
Our $3.88/gallon is still 18 cents higher than the national average. We're also 42 cents higher than just one month ago.
