APPLETON, Wis. -  The mascot of an Appleton pizzeria was injured after police say a teenager ran up behind the employee and knocked him to the ground.

Muncheez Pizzeria owner Paul Vander Linden tells the Appleton Post-Crescent, the mascot, a 16 year old boy, received a mark on his back as he was pushed down and then kicked in the back.

Police are hoping that traffic camera footage in the area will help them identify the attacker.

Vander Linden told the Post-Crescent he is offering a free Muncheez pizza to anyone who provides police or the restaurant with information that leads to an arrest in the case.
