Old World Wisconsin to host last vintage baseball game
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Old World Wisconsin is getting ready to host its vintage baseball team's last game of the season.
The Eagle Diamonds will take on the Greenbush Dead Citys on Saturday, Aug. 25.
The teams play by 1860s rules. Players wear baggy uniforms, swing fat-handled bats and don't wear gloves. Pitches are underhanded, there are no strike zones and everyone calls the umpire "sir."
Admission to the game is free with an Old World Wisconsin museum ticket.
Old World Wisconsin features dozens of historic buildings relocated from around the state. The site is located outside Eagle in southeastern Wisconsin.
