OAK CREEK - The audio from the 9-1-1 calls, released Wednesday, gives a sense of the horror that came during the killings of seven people, including suspected gunman Wade Page, at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek.

The first call came in at about 10:25 a.m. August 5.  The following information is selected from three of the callers.

Caller 1: "We're down on 7420 Howell.  Some guy is shooting a gun.  Some temple or something.  We saw him go in there."

Dispatcher: "He's in the church with the gun?"

Caller 1: "I think so."

A few minutes later, another call came in from someone inside the temple.  Gunfire could be heard.

Caller 2: "7512 South Howell Avenue.  A man is shooting.  There is shooting.  (Gunshots in background.)"

Dispatcher: "Did anybody get hit?"

Caller 2: "He is shooting."  No further response came from the caller.

Another call came in from a woman who said she was hiding inside the temple.

Caller 3 (in quiet voice): "We need help.  Somebody is shooting."

Dispatcher: "Did you see the shooter?"

Caller 3: "I don't know.  We are hiding.  (Whispering) Thank you."
