WAUWATOSA - One of the three people recovering from the Sikh temple shooting at Froedtert Hospital had his condition upgraded.

Froedtert Hospital officials say that Santokh Singh's condition has improved to "satisfactory."

Wounded officer, Lt. Brian Murphy, remains in satisfactory condition while Punjab Singh remains in critical condition.

Lt. Murphy was shot eight or nine times during the shooting on Sunday.

"These senseless gunshots wounded a heroic officer of the law and two peaceful persons praying in their house of worship," said Dr. Lee Biblo, chief medical officer for Froedtert Hospital.

All of them underwent surgery Sunday afternoon and one victim was treated in surgical intensive care.
