LONDON - A Wisconsin native's quest for to swim, bike and run her way to a triathalon medal came up short early Saturday morning.

Waukesha South grad Gwen Jorgensen finished 38th in the competition. She ran into some trouble with her wheel during the biking portion of the race. Certainly not the result Gwen hoped for... But still a lot of pride for the hometown girl.

Family and friends of Gwen who couldn't make it to the U.K. got up early this morning to cheer her on. They gathered in a Potawatomi Casino Ballroom to watch Gwen compete live. Gwen took leave from her job as a tax accountant at Ernst and Young to train for the games.

Dave Anderson spent hundreds of hours at Schroeder Aquatic Center coaching the 26-year-old. He's in England to support Gwen. He spoke with Tom Murray live on Live at Daybreak Saturday morning. Click on VIDEO to hear the interview!
