State Treasurer's Office booth at State Fair allowing people to collect unclaimed money

WEST ALLIS- The Wisconsin State Fair is known for its cream puffs, giant slide, and food on a stick.
But did you know you can also score some cash?
Inside the Expo Center, the State Treasurer's booth was set up to see if you are owed any unclaimed property.
Judy Scholtens and her husband Scott just discovered free money.
"This is actually the second year in a row we found money," said Judy Scholtens.
The State's Treasurer Office is holding $400 million in unclaimed cash. The money is for people who have lost, forgotten about or didn't even know they had it.
"It comes to our office from companies around the country, insurance companies, utility companies, paychecks," said Ron Jiorda from the State's Treasurer Office.
And they want you to claim it -- you can just like the Scholtens as they found $80.
"Any free money you can find is great, especially when it's your own yeah..when it belongs to you in the first place," said Judy Scholtens.
It only takes a few minutes. All you need to do is type in your last name, click search and the computer will let you know if you are owed any money.
Just Thursday, a woman at the fair discovered $14,000.
The booth will remain at the fair through Sunday, August 12.
