RACINE - A big crowd was expected Friday at the Chick-fil-A inside Regency Mall's food court in Racine.

Unlike the last group which came to support Chick-fil-A's stance opposing gay marriage, gay rights groups were set to make a statement.

They have scheduled same-sex kissing events at the restaurant and other Chick-fil-A locations across the U.S.

The event comes after the president of the restaurant said he opposes same-sex marriage, and thousands of people stormed Chick-fil-A restaurants across America in support.

The lines were deep on Wednesday with supporters of the restaurant's president and the stance that marriage is between a man and a woman.

"I don't really care for chicken, but I decided to come here and support the company," said Phil Dupor.

The company set a new sales record that day.

"I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,' and I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is all about," said Chick-fil-A Operations Manager Dan Cathy on the Ken Coleman Show.

Not everyone agrees with Cathy's attitude.

"It's just amazing that this many people showed up (Wednesday) that don't like gay people," said Barbara Vinson on TODAY'S TMJ4.

"God says don't judge, so when you say gay is wrong, you're judging them."
