NFL suspends Packers LB Erik Walden one game
GREEN BAY- Packers Linebacker Erik Walden has been suspended without pay for the team's first game of the 2012 regular season for violating the NFL Personal Conduct Policy, according to an NFL spokesperson.
Walden will be eligible to return to the Packers' active roster on Monday, September 10 following the team's September 9 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Walden is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games.
Walden was charged with a misdemeanor disorderly conduct-domestic abuse, after an arrest last Nov. 25 for an alleged altercation with his live-in girlfriend. If he does 50 hours of community service and continues counseling, the charge will be dropped.
