2 teens die in SUV crash with semi in western Wisconsin
HUDSON- Two teenage boys were killed when a sport utility vehicle hit a stopped semi-trailer truck from behind on Interstate 94 in western Wisconsin.
Authorities say the crash happened east of Hudson at about 1:20 p.m.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says the semi was heading east when it came to a stop in a construction zone and was struck from behind by the SUV.
The Star Tribune reports four teenage boys from New Richmond were in the SUV. Two passengers -- a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old -- were killed. The 17-year-old driver was critically injured. Another 17-year-old passenger had minor injuries.
The truck driver was not hurt.
Eastbound traffic was detoured off of the interstate and around the scene for about two hours.
