Seven foot snake caught in Whitewater
WHITEWATER, Wis. - Thanks to some quick-thinking, a boa constrictor that has been on the loose in Whitewater since July 5 is back with its owner.
According to the Jefferson Daily Union, the snake was first reported missing during a vandalism incident.
A city employee saw the 6 to 7-foot-long Red Tail Colombian Boa Constrictor while she was walking a nature preserve Wednesday morning.
Whitewater Park and Streets Superintendent Chuck Nass then located and contained the snake until police and the owner arrived.
The owner has been told to remove it from the city where exotic and wild animals are prohibited.
