Storm Team 4 Severe Weather
Storm Warnings expire
2:30 a.m.
Storm warnings that were in effect have now expired across southeast Wisconsin. More rain is continuing to fall. But it appears the severe threat is now over.
1:30 a.m.
Nearly all of SE Wisconsin is now under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. The weather service says a big line of storms that's about to move through could produce tornado strength winds in excess of 70 miles an hour.
The new warning covers: eastern Dodhe, Southeast Fond du Lac, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Southern Sheboygan, Washington and Waukesha Counties until 2:30 this morning.
1:15 a.m.
The National Weather Service has isued a T-Storm warning for northeastern Fond du Lac and northwestern Sheboygan Counties until 1:45 this morning.
12:56 a.m.
The National Weather Service says the severe storms moving through our area are extremely dangerous, producing tornado like wind speeds.
12:43 a.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a T-Storm Warning for North Central Fond du Lac County until 1:30.
The weather service says the storm in question could produce very damaging winds, in excess of 70 miles an hour. In addition, large hail is possible.
12:40 a.m.
New T-Storm Warning for Dodge, Jefferson, Western Walworth, and Western Waukesha Counties until 1:45 this morning.
The weather service says storms moving through that area could produce very damaging winds, in excess of 70 miles an hour. In addition, large hail is possible.
12:04 a.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for: Northeastern Dodge and central Fond Du Lac Counties until 12:30 a.m.
The National Weather Service's Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing destructive winds in excess of 70 mph.
11:42 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for: Northeastern Dodge, southeastern Fond du Lac and northern Washington Counties until midnight.
At 11:36 pm the National Weather Service's Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.
9:37 p.m.
Storm Team 4Caster John Malan said we are in this severe weather because southeast Wisconsin is experiencing some very warm and humid air.
"I saw one cluster of storms earlier to the north with a warm front that was on the edge of Sheboygan County," said Malan.
According to Malan, The storms are developing fast across southwest Wisconsin at the moment, pushing towards the Madison area.
"I think the western portions of our listening area could see a Severe Thunderstorm Warning between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.," said Malan. "The rest of the area could see (a Severe Thunderstorm Warning) later than that."
We could see some hail and damaging winds from these storms.
8:45 p.m.
The National Weather Service has expanded their Severe Thunderstorm Watch to include: Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Racine, Walworth and Waukesha Counties until 2 a.m. Thursday.
That latest release puts all of southeast Wisconsin under the Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 2 a.m. Thursday.
6:38 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Dodge, Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Washington Counties until 2 a.m. Thursday.
