Deadly hit and run
WAUKESHA-- One woman is dead and another woman was injured after being struck by a drunk driver, early Saturday morning, in the City of Waukesha. The two women were pushing their car that had run out of gas when they were struck by the driver around 3:30 A.M.
The two women were transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital where one woman succumbed to her injuries while the other was treated and released.
The Waukesha police located the driver shortly after the incident and was taken into Racine police custody. The suspect, Edgar Montano, will be transferred to the Waukesha County Jail.
Montano is facing three charges, homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, homicide by negligent operation of a motor vehicle and hit and run causing death. All are felonies.
