Police release identity in Fond du Lac area crash
FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Wisconsin State Patrol officers have now released the name of a passenger who died as the driver of the truck he was riding in tried to pass in a no-passing zone.
Police say 41 year old Shane Wincapaw of Fond du Lac was killed in the crash on Highway 75, north of Church Avenue near Fond du Lac Friday.
The driver, 34 year old Richard Hartung reportedly swerved his northbound 1991 Chevy truck to try to avoid a southbound vehicle. The truck struck a tree and rolled over, landing on its roof.
