Father of Colorado shooting victim expects second surgery soon
AURORA, Colorado - The father of a newlywed who grew up in Mequon, Wisconsin, and was shot in the Colorado movie massacre Friday morning says his son will likely need physical therapy.
Twenty-seven-year-old Carey Rottman has recovered from his first surgery at the Medical Center of Aurora and is expected to undergo a second before he can be released from the hospital.
Doctors tell the family the bullet did not damage Rottman's tendons or arteries.
Dale Rottman says his son's in good spirits, and many friends have been visiting him in the hospital.
Dale Rottman says his son compared his surgery Friday to the knee surgery he had about a year ago, saying it wasn't as bad as the knee surgery.
