Wis. DNR taking input on White River-area plan
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The state Department of Natural Resources is looking for public input on a new management plan for public property along the White River corridor in far northwestern Wisconsin.
The plan encompasses about 14,376 acres in Ashland and Bayfield counties. The DNR is developing a new plan regulating recreation and resources protection for the property.
The agency has scheduled an open house at the Northern Great Lakes Visitors in Ashland on Thursday, July 26. The agency also will take written comments through Aug. 9.
The department plans to release a draft master plan this winter.
