Thunderstorms bring much needed rain to Wauwatosa
WAUWATOSA- Wednesday's storms weakened by the time they got into Milwaukee County, but folks in Wauwatosa got some much needed rain.
When the dark clouds moved in over Wauwatosa, the rush was on to pack up and move out, reports TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson.
It looked like your typical summer storm, but with weeks of severe drought conditions the rain seemed like a long lost friend.
"I actually got out my phone and snapped a picture of the skies (Laughs)," said Jennifer Birney.
Rain may not have been the flavor of the day at the local ice cream shop, but it's what Steve and Jennifer Birney ordered.
"I think we need the rain for all the farmers that's the bottom line; it's bonus for us," said Steve Birney.
